What Are Safety Shoes?

Safety shoes are a type of certified work shoes that protect your feet against various risks in your work environment. They meet various safety requirements according to EN standard ISO 20345. Safety shoes always have a protective toe cap and are grouped into safety classes, from SB and S1 to S5. Each safety class defines the protection that the shoe offers.

Why do I need safety shoes?

Safety shoes protect your feet from hazards in your work environment that can injure you and your feet. Potential dangers range from sharp objects on the ground and slippery conditions to electric shocks or heat and cold. The toe cap protects your feet against falling objects and crush injuries. The soles of safety shoes can be anti-static, penetration-resistant and non-slip.

Use our shoe selection guide to choose the correct safety shoes for your work environment. The guide makes suggestions based on your needs and preferences.
